Don't poison our LakesOct 18/04
This tip is more of a Must Do than a tip. When ever you are looking around inside the hull of your personal watercraft and notice oil, do you wonder where it comes from or where it goes? If you do see any evidence of oil you should not use the craft until you have located and repaired the oil leak and cleaned the loose oil up from your bilge. All personal watercraft are designed to pump bilge water into the lake constantly while the engines are running. Any oil residue WILL get pumped out into our beautiful lakes. Oil causes pollution, poisons our drinking water and causes our wildlife to suffer and even die. Endangered species like the Loon can not survive with even a little oil on the water. Please, lets everyone of us do our part to enjoy our lakes and leave no traces that we were there.
